Why Being ‘Ready’ Is A Lie

Why Being ‘Ready’ Is A Lie

Yesterday I did something a little uneasy.

I attended a watercolour class.

And here’s the thing: I don’t see myself as the fine artist.
I grew up around some very talented real artists.

So, walking into that class, I felt an old voice whispering:

“Who do you think you are?”
“You’re not a real artist!”
“What if it’s mediocre…and they laugh at you?”

The Inner Judge showed up right on time.

But, something interesting happened once the brush hit the paper.
I stopped trying to impress and I let myself be a beginner.

And you know what, I loved what I painted. It was honest. Perfectly imperfect.

I realize, we spend so much time trying to look normal that we never allow ourselves to grow.

Where in your life are you waiting to be ready before you begin?

✨ A new relationship?
✨ A new business or side hustle?
✨ A new nutrition plan?
✨ Or learning a new skill?

Just start. You’ll thank me later.
